GEORGE GALLAGHER

George trained under legendary Director/Teacher Gene Frankel who pioneered the Off Broadway movement in New York along with Wynn Handman, Terry Schreiber, Alan Feinstein, Milton Katselas, Austin Pendleton, Isa Totah and Harold Guskin (whose work continues to inspire much of this teaching). George is a graduate of AMDA and pursued further studies at Columbia University Film School and The Workshop East with Lenore DeKoven.

 

George has appeared in over 30 productions on the New York Stage including Caligula at the Obie-Award Winning Classical Theater of Harlem (opposite Andre DeShields) and The Irish Arts Center. He received notoriety and praise from the critics for his role as Anthony Serra in the SlamDance breakout indie hit OVER THE GW (7th Art Releasing) . Additional roles include the indie cult hit The Abstraction (Amazon Prime) , Altered States of Plaine (Turner) opposite Kether Donohue and the soon to be released ,"Garlic & Gunpowder" opposite Vivica A. Fox.
